So here's the Details for Tonight

Tonight's Make N Take is a lucious Body Butter that can also be used as a shaving cream or a hydrating face mask- it's that rich and luxurious that you can rub it into those super dry scaley spots, or you can use it as smooth creamy shaving cream, or leave it on your face for a few minutes as a hydrating mask. The Essential Oils I will be using makes this cream smell like CANDY, and even more- it's made out of all natural ingredients, no synthetics, no preservatives, no parabens. All. Natural. and super easy and not pricey like the stuff you find at the store. There is a 5 dollar cover for the cost of materials, and I ask that you please bring a glass storage jar of your choosing, with a lid. You get to take home what you make, and a recipe card with information about the ingredients and how to make and use it. 

Intro Class: We go over Essential Oils, How to use them, Why we use them, How they're made, Where they come from, and why we think they would greatly benefit you and your loved ones. 

Did I mention our Location? We are in the absolutely beautiful and soothing atmosphere of Gambardella's Restaurant, downtown by the river on 1st avenue. Be there or be square! 5:30pm at Gambardella's on the river!

Last week I posted an informative recap of our Intro to Oils Class and touched base on the topics we cover in class, and an idea of the information we share. The Intro Class is exactly what it says: an introduction to YL Essential Oils, for people who have either already ordered their Starter Kit or who are curious or interested but unsure of where to begin. There are TONS of essential oil products out there and tons of ways to use them, we like to use this class as an ice-breaker of sorts so you have a starting point to begin your journey into Natural Living with Essential Oils. 

But this week.....

I am BEYOND excited to share with you a recipe of my own that I am absolutely head over heals in love with for our Make n Take class...

Home Made Body Butter/ Shaving Cream

I whipped this stuff up the other day after I went swimming for my workout- the Chlorine in the pool does TERRIBLE THINGS to my hair and my skin and I feel as dry and parched as the Sahara Desert after coming out of that chemically treated water. I literally have alligator skin all day after swimming, and I'm so dry and itchy it's miserable. 

So I set out to make a recipe that is hydrating, healing, toning, and is so lush and sweet I almost wish I had a bathtub full of it. 

AND- it can totally double as a mask, or shaving cream because it's so incredibly hydrating.

Did I mention that all it takes are things already in my kitchen? Easy. Peasy. 

Details:

Where: Gambardella's Pasta Bella, Downtown Fairbanks right on the River. 

When: Wednesday Evening, 5:30-7:30pm 

Cost: Intro to Oils class is always free, if you are coming to the Make n Take, I do ask for a $5 donation to cover material costs, as I am using my personal Oils and fresh ingredients for the Make n Take. 

All you need to bring is a glass jar with a tight fitting lid (pickle jars, jam jars, recycle those containers in your fridge!) and a can-do attitude and you can Make just about anything!

Recap: Intro Class

Intro to Oils Class

Last night we ended up cancelling our Make n Take due to some unforeseen supply issues. So today's recap will be more details on our Intro class, I highly recommend anyone who is interested or curious in Essential Oils to come and have a listen, try some oils and ask any questions. Did I mention that the class is also free? Well it is, it's FREE. 


In our Intro to Oils class we discuss the many reasons why we use Essential Oils as a means to provide emotional support, immune support, and help maintain overall wellness, versus some of the more common conventional ways that are out there. We go over each oil in the Everyday Oils collection and what we love to use them for, as well as share any scientific data that we've gathered through various tests and studies regarding essential oil use.

Knowledge is Power, and we are ever striving to gain and share the wisdom of natural and holistic wellness tools to anyone who is curious or interested. 

We also go over Essential Oil safety, How to maintain your essential oils, and our favorite ways to use them. We like to end our Intro Class with a mini DIY that is super easy and also kind of a stepping stone into using your essential oils as wellness tools and allows you to see how easy and comfortable it can be adding them into your life.

At the risk of sounding sales-pitchy, I want to add that anyone who brings a friend, or several friends, who signs up with a starter kit or hosts a house party DOES receive bonus incentives! We have a slew of things we can offer anyone who wants to get started on their essential oil journey, which will only add to the benefits of using these natural wellness tools.

Where we do our Thing: Gambardella's Pasta Bella, we are either in the Cellar, or Upstairs Dining room. 
Time: WEDNESDAY EVENINGS 5:30-7:30/8pm (you don't have to stay for the full evening if you have other plans, but we recommend staying to get the whole presentation, incentives, and DIY)

Supply Issues! Gah!

Happy Wednesday Folks!

So last week I hinted at this week's Make n Take being an all natural bug spray using essential oils and YL's V6 carrier oil, as the teeny itty bitty viscious mosquitoes are out and they have no mercy!


Unfortunately we are having some supply issues for this Make n Take idea, so we will have to postpone the bug spray for a later date (not too much later, soon! I swear it!). Anyone who stops by is more than welcome to grab the recipe for the bug spray if you are interested in trying it yourself at home (it's sooooooooo easy!). I will also share my other Natural Living secrets to a bug free home to anyone who is interested. =)

We will still be hosting our Intro to Oils class this evening, and going over some of our favorite oils and how we use them.  Anyone interested in discussing possible future Make n Take projects or who has any questions or just needs a little more information, please feel free to stop by and check us out!
